Khanal leaves for China

KATHMANDU, April 18 - CPN-UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal Saturday said the present government will not be toppled at any cost.
Speaking to the journalists at the Tribhuwan International Airport in the capital, prior to leaving for China for a week long visit, chairman Khanal said there exist no alternatives of the present government to draft a new constitution within the slated time.
He underscored the need for comprehensive power rather than thinking of toppling the government.
Accepting that there are problems in the present government, Khanal underscored the need of cooperation and consultations with the political parties to get rid of such tribulations.
In one of the queries of the journalists on the rumors of him being the Prime Minister, Khanal said it's just the imagination of some people.
Chairman Khanal informed that he is leaving for China with other four UML leaders on the invitation from Chinese communist party.
The team includes UML vice chairman Ashok Rai, Secretary Yubaraj Gyawali, central members Surendra Pandey and Raghuji Pant.
During his visit, he is scheduled to meet the senior Communist leaders in China.
It has been learnt that he will be leaving for India, soon after returning to Nepal from China.
